Kunming is known as the “The City of Eternal Spring” because of its mild, pleasant climate, and is full of flowers all year round. With more than 2,400 years of history, Kunming was the southern starting point for The Silk Route (Tibet, Sichuan, Burma and India). There are 26 ethnic minorities in the city and it is the political, commercial and cultural capital of Yunnan.
